Jen
Jen, a licensed cosmetology teacher, co-owned Finished Effects Hair Salon before becoming a stay-at-home mom and fitness instructor. When her daughter Aliyah pursued cosmetology, Jen embraced the opportunity to work together. Opening a home salon fulfilled their shared dream. Jen balances the roles of being a mom, a business owner, maintaining family life, all while fitting in gym time—and her adorable dog, Yogi Bear, is always there by her side!
Aliyah
Aliyah, a 2024 graduate of Northern York County School District and Cumberland Perry Vo-Tech, worked as an assistant at a local salon in Dillsburg PA before becoming a licensed cosmetologist in January 2024. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, she’s fulfilling her dream of salon ownership alongside her mother. Passionate about current hair and nail trends, she’s eager to share her artistic talents with her community. A dancer since age 3, Aliyah continues to practice various styles during her free time.
